Terms of use

Version of 16 October 2026

1. Who runs this service

Queraoke is a karaoke queue service run by pico (the "Operator", "we"). By joining a room or using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. How it works

A room is started on a TV screen. Guests join with a code or QR code on their phones, choose a nickname, search for songs and add them to the queue. Songs play on the room's screen. A room ends after 24 hours, or sooner when the host closes it.

3. YouTube

Songs are played with the official YouTube player. Queraoke uses YouTube API Services. By using this service you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

We do not host, copy or download videos. Whether a video can be played depends on YouTube and on the owner of the video. You do not pay to watch videos in the player.

YouTube is not used in the evening that the Operator runs for the public (the evening with tables). There the songs are the Operator's own.

4. Hosts and their YouTube API key

If you host rooms, you use your own YouTube API key, from your own Google Cloud project. By requesting an account you agree to this section.

When you save a key, you let the Operator use it on your behalf, and only for your own rooms: for the searches there, for checking pasted links, and for refreshing or deleting the songs kept for you. The Operator does not use your key for anyone else, for the Operator's own rooms or for any other purpose, and does not share, sell or show it to another host, a guest or any other third party.

The Operator keeps your key confidential. It is stored encrypted, it is not shown again after you save it (only its last four characters), and it does not appear in logs or in the address of a request. The Operator runs the server and can technically reach stored data. The Operator promises not to read or use your key for anything other than what is described here.

You can remove your key at any time under YouTube in the panel, and it is then deleted from the server. It is also deleted when your account is deleted.

You are responsible for your own Google Cloud project, its quota and its compliance with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. Google may limit or suspend a project that does not follow them.

5. Using the service

Please:

  • choose a nickname that is not offensive and does not pretend to be someone else;
  • add only songs that are suitable for the people in the room;
  • not try to disturb the service, send automated requests, get around its limits or reach areas meant for the Operator.

The Operator or the host may remove songs, end rooms and block guests at any time.

6. Music and licences

In the evening that the Operator runs for the public (the evening with tables), Queraoke does not use YouTube. The songs played there are the Operator's own.

Playing music for other people can require licences. The Operator is responsible for the licences that apply to where and how this service is used. Guests are responsible for choosing songs that are appropriate in the setting they are in.

The service is made for bars in the Philippines. Where it is used in another country, it is used at the Operator's own responsibility, under the rules of that country.

7. Availability

The service is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. It may change or stop at any time.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the Operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy notice.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version date is shown at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
